Course Overview:
This course is about actively promoting equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusion.
Delegates attending this course will
- Examine the rationale behind promoting equality of opportunity
- Consider the role of decision making in promoting culture and values within the organisation
- Recognise the role of behaviour, words and actions
- Understand responsibilities and liabilities under legislation and your organisation’s code of practice
- Identify areas where needs could be better satisfied or improved
- Recognise sources of specialist expertise
- Able to respond to different ways of working to meet different needs, abilities and values
- Appreciate the role of monitoring, reviewing and taking action to ensure equality.
It is recommended for first line managers and middle managers.
